Daarnaast gaf hij zijn visie op trainer\u00a0<strong>Cristian Chivu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dumfries en zijn groei bij Inter<\/h3>\n<p>Sinds zijn overstap van\u00a0<strong>PSV<\/strong>\u00a0naar Inter in de zomer van 2021 is Dumfries uitgegroeid tot een vaste waarde op de rechterflank. Hij staat inmiddels aan de vooravond van zijn vijfde seizoen in Milaan.<\/p>\n<p>In het seizoen 2024\/25 beleefde de 29-jarige zijn absolute doorbraakjaar. Hij was niet alleen verdedigend betrouwbaar, maar voegde ook goals en assists toe aan zijn spel. Vooral zijn glansrol in de Champions League-duels tegen\u00a0<strong>Barcelona<\/strong> maakte indruk. Het leverde hem zelfs een\u00a0<strong>Ballon d\u2019Or-nominatie<\/strong>\u00a0op, iets wat voor een Nederlandse vleugelverdediger uiterst bijzonder is.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dumfries: \u201cSerie A is tactisch, de Premier League fysiek intens\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Over een mogelijke toekomst in Engeland zei Dumfries:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cDe Premier League is fantastisch, maar op dit moment speel ik in de Serie A.<br \/>Als de kans zich voordoet om naar Engeland te gaan, zou ik die zeker grijpen.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cIk ben gelukkig bij Inter, maar ik denk dat ik ook goed zou kunnen presteren in de Premier League. Die competitie staat bekend om zijn intensiteit, terwijl de Serie A juist tactisch tot de beste ter wereld behoort.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Volgens Dumfries is het verschil in speelstijl duidelijk: Itali\u00eb draait om organisatie, geduld en slimme positionering, terwijl Engeland meer draait om tempo, fysieke duels en aanvalsgolven.<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De Rol van Cristian Chivu<\/h3>\n<p>Dumfries sprak ook vol lof over zijn trainer\u00a0<strong>Cristian Chivu<\/strong>, die in 2025 Simone Inzaghi bij Inter opvolgde.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cHij heeft bij Ajax gespeeld, dus we hebben vaak gesproken over de verschillen tussen de Nederlandse en Italiaanse school,\u201d aldus Dumfries.<br \/>\u201cZijn idee\u00ebn zijn glashelder en hij weet heel goed wat hij wil. Voor mij voelt dat vertrouwd, omdat ik de Nederlandse aanpak natuurlijk herken.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Toekomstperspectief<\/h3>\n<p>Hoewel Dumfries zijn geluk bij Inter onderstreept, houden Engelse clubs hem nauwlettend in de gaten. Vooral teams met een gebrek aan dynamiek op de rechterflank, zoals\u00a0<strong>Manchester United<\/strong>\u00a0en\u00a0<strong>Chelsea<\/strong>, zouden hem goed kunnen gebruiken.<\/p>\n<p>Een eventuele transfer hangt af van meerdere factoren:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inter zal gezien zijn prestaties en status een forse transfersom verlangen (geschat tussen de\u00a0<strong>\u20ac40 en \u20ac50 miljoen<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Dumfries zelf lijkt nog geen haast te hebben, maar benadrukt wel dat hij de uitdaging van de Premier League ooit wil aangaan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mogelijke Premier League-bestemmingen voor Dumfries<\/h2>\n<p>Hoewel Dumfries zijn toekomst bij\u00a0<strong>Inter<\/strong>\u00a0voorlopig nog niet wil opgeven, zouden er in Engeland verschillende clubs zijn waar hij perfect zou passen.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.\u00a0<strong>Manchester United<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>United zoekt al jaren naar stabiliteit op de rechtsbackpositie.<\/li>\n<li>Dumfries combineert aanvallende stootkracht met fysieke kracht, precies wat United nodig heeft.<\/li>\n<li>Zijn loopvermogen en vechtlust sluiten goed aan bij de Premier League-intensiteit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.\u00a0<strong>Chelsea<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chelsea heeft vaak te maken met blessures van Reece James en mist consistentie op rechts.<\/li>\n<li>Dumfries kan zowel als wingback als klassieke rechtsback uit de voeten.<\/li>\n<li>Past in Chelsea\u2019s recente traditie van Nederlandse spelers (o.a.
